Toddler Sunday School Crafts for Life of David Part 1

Since we decided to combine our preschool class with my PreK-1st class, my Sunday morning class starts with two 5 year old girls for about 30 minutes. Then we add 4-8 mostly three year old boys and girls from the classroom next door for songs, story, and craft time.  I decided to pick a series of Bible stories about the same person for our first lessons together.  We are learning about the life of David.  I planned simple crafts for the kids that required some advance preparation.  I want the kids to have a good reminder of the lesson each Sunday.

David the Shepherd

David the Shepherd Craft
The sheep are made from two paper punches – a scallop circle and a five-petal flower. I cut off two of the petals to make the feet and used the other three petals to make the face and ears.

David Sings to God

David Plays the Harp Craft
Glue craft sticks together at least one day in advance and allow to dry. Let the children add the rubber bands and decorate the harp with markers.
