Online Sunday School Lessons

If your kids are missing Sunday School time or if you are looking for craft and activity ideas, join me on my Facebook page Sunday mornings at 10:00 am central. I’ll be sharing a short lesson and a craft. The lessons will follow the sequence in the Jesus Storybook Bible and the craft will coordinate with the story and theme. The Jesus Storybook Bible and accompanying DVDs are available from several online sources. I’ll add links below. The videos of each story are also available with an online subscription to StudyGateway. Neither the book or the videos are required to follow along with the lessons.

I’ll share a post on Saturday with craft projects, free printables, and storytelling ideas from some of my favorite Bible story sites and bloggers.

Online Sunday School

While online Bible studies for adults have been available for a good while, preschool and elementary-age children usually learn best from hands-on activities and interactive storytelling. The online Sunday School lessons will include suggestions for storytelling props and easy games using items you probably have around your home.

Jesus Storybook Bible

I’ve been teaching Bible lessons and crafts to young children for over 40 years. By the time the Jesus Storybook Bible was published, my own boys were almost grown. But, I immediately purchased a copy for myself. I love how the author weaves the big picture of scripture and God’s persistant love for us through each of the stories.

Whether you can join me on Facebook for a lesson or find a couple of ideas here to share an activity with your kids, I hope to be an encouragement to you and your children. Please comment with resources and links for other activities and storytelling guides.
